The Project :

If you are looking for XXL, customized sound for your home, POSS Home+ is the unit for you. It carries a built-in subwoofer for deep bass, equalizer with bass and treble memory to customize the sound to your own taste. It also features the same aluminum feet as the HOME speaker. Its main features include 30W power, built-in subwoofer, built-in equalizer, and stereo multi-pairing. It is available in black.

The Home+ is part of the range of 4 speakers that was designed to be compact, portable, and complementary to one other with one common feature: stereo multi-pairing! We have reduced the number of control buttons to a minimum and integrated a seamless 360° fabric wrapping to give a sophisticated and proprietary look to the family.

I worked on this project while holding an industrial designer position at Carrefour Global Sourcing in Hong-Kong.

Behind the scenes

In 2017 we have decided to completely revamp our audio product line to propose products up to date with new user’s behavior regarding music. This new range of 4 speakers is unique, iconic, and innovative, and meets our customers’ 3 primary requirements: price, quality, and functionality. It was designed to be compact, water proof, portable, and complementary to one another with one common feature: stereo multi-pairing! We have reduced the number of control buttons to a minimum and integrated a seamless 360° fabric wrapping to give a sophisticated, urban and proprietary look to the family.

Overall, this project was a huge journey, designing a new line of audio products from scratch. We faced big challenges like figuring out the integration of the seamless 360° fabric wrapping. But by adapting our process, sharing good practices and working hand-in-hand with our factory partner, our Hong Kong team managed to launch a successful family of audio products to the market.
